Candid Camera

Since 1983 I've traveled everywhere with my beloved Canon AE1. I could use that camera with my eyes shut, that's how comfortable I was with it.
It's with great regret my old Canon is now retired, stowed away in my top drawer (why can't I be the one to retire??)
The Canon still works, but the lure of digital photography has finally won me over.
Upon good advice from my BFF Crone and Bear It, I purchased a Nikon 3000D. It's a bit bigger than the Canon, yet weighs less.
The Nikon is Idiot-Proof. This means I should be able to handle it.
Thank you for visiting my blog, and Namaste!

Betsy, EGoddess, and Brian,
Thank you for popping by.
That Nikon cost a bit more than what I want to spend, but I got a whole kit at Costco.com...it comes with a memory card, an extra lens and this big ol' case to lug it all around.

I loved my old Olympus 35mm with assorted lenses, but the new digital is just so much better. My Theme Thursday is HERE .

One of these days I'm actually going to sit down and make an effort to learn all the ins and outs of using my Sony. Wondering...why do these things have to be so complicated!

MonkeyMan & AngelMay, I'm flying over to your blogs in a minute.
AngelMay...I actually had to sit down and READ my owner's manual. It makes a big difference. I hate reading those things, but it's a necessary evil.

Hi, not only memories, my parents met in Ethiopia. My mother was in her early 20's when they traveled there, and my father was part of the Armenian community who relocated to Ethiopia after the Turkish invasion of Armenia.

Long story!

I too have been won over by the ease of the digi-cam! But I still use my old Pentax. Now if I could just find a place that actually developes film...!

You won't regret it, just make sure you have a huge memory card or a flash stick, youll be snap happy. I love my Cannon but thinking I need something a little more sophisticated, eventually. So if you're a crack shot why not put some of your photos up here? I'd love to see them.

I really liked your quote- and we learn things in the process if we pay attention!

Hey, Wills here. Welcome back to the bloggyhood! Cool new travel blog, I must say. I've had my eye on a Nikon D90. But I'm making do with my trusty little Canon PowerShot.

Are the big fat cameras any better than the small ones?
